Finally, it has began, the brand new series of Big Brother! And after watching the two launch nights on Thursday and Friday, I think this series will be full of twists and drama.
All of the house mates are very powerful in their respective job roles, thus, matching with this years Big Brother: Power Trip theme. With so many successful, authoritative and opinionated house mates in a confined space, there will be one word for this series: explosive.
Launch night one:
As always, host Emma Willis made the audience and viewers alike feel very welcome. I just needed to put that out there because Emma Willis is the best.
House mate number one – Tamara – #BBTamara – Tamara describes herself as a ‘power hungry woman’, and one who has achieved a lot at a young age. She has no time for anyone who is just a ‘pretty face and a pair of tits’, so there are already a few house mates she will not get along with. She seems very hardworking and determined, so I think she will be very good at shopping tasks. However, she does seem like an instigator of trouble. She would like to bring ‘brains and beauty’ into the house and has called herself the ‘Queen of Manipulation’.
House mate number two – Mark – #BBMark – Liverpool born Mark has the most annoying accent you will ever hear, and the less air time he gets the better. I am sure he is a nice guy but I can’t agree with the accent, I’m afraid. He has his appearance tended to every day by professionals, but he insists he is not vain. Mariah Carey is his role model. I do think his odds of winning are high, but I can almost see him being quite boring.
House mate number three – Helen – #BBHelen – If you don’t want spoilers, then tough. Helen has been granted a pass straight to the final, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few twists along the way. She seems like a genuine housemate, but it doesn’t matter if she has got a pass to the final, does it?
House mate number four – Steven – #BBSteven – Steven has his own interior design business (or something) where he designs for celebrities and has earn lots of money. He needed to make sure you knew that. Being powerful is important to him, so he is in the right house! His parents and brothers work for him. Believe it or not, he wants to be Prime Minister, apparently thats where Big Brother will get him. He may get along well with Tamara. His idols are Simon Cowell and, ahem, Katie Price.
House mate number six – Danielle – #BBDanielle – I am already predicting that Danielle will be the first house mate to leave. She is a Catholic and strictly religious, and does not believe in same sex marriage or sex before marriage. She also thinks women should be classy and shouldn’t parade around kissing any man they see, however she is an underwear model. But according to her, that does not go against her religion.
House mate number six – Winston – #BBWinston – Winston is from Essex and may or may not have entered the house in the hopes for a future stint on TOWIE. He insists he is smarter than typical Essex people though, so I’ll take his word for it.
House mate number seven – Matthew – #BBMatthew – Matthew said in his VT that he does not like people with no intelligence, and this ended with him being suspended in the garden in a box on the first night. He was already bitching on the first night which makes me think there is more to come. Like everyone else, I assumed he was gay, but he has a girlfriend so he is not gay. His idol is David Cameron so I will leave this there…
House mate number eight – Kimberly – #BBKimberly – Kimberly is a playboy model who has a law degree and is not stupid or superficial. She also has a business masters and intends to use it.
House mate number nine – Christopher – #BBChristopher – Christopher comes from Ireland but now lives in London and is a ‘serious journalist’. He is argumentative when it comes to something he feels strongly about. He is a fan of controversial Katie Hopkins. He got a lot of cheers and audience reaction to him was good. Could be a good contender for winner.
House mate number ten – Pauline – #BBPauline – Pauline is the oldest housemate in the house, and was voted as the power housemate. This means she gets to control the house and reward and punish housemates. Her nominations will mean that those people will face eviction immediately, regardless of how many votes they get. She will soon be accused of game playing. She was a rapper in the past on Kylie Minogue’s song Shocked. She was responsible for granting Helen a pass to the final, making Mark 5 grand richer and suspending Matthew in a box.
Launch night two:
House mate number eleven – Toya – #BBToya – YouTube vlogger and presenter Toya once sold her ex-boyfriends stuff on eBay and sent him a link in case he wanted to buy it back. On her VT, she seemed very annoying, but when interviewed by Emma, she seemed quite funny. I have mixed views on her, but I think she could be a fun house mate that goes quite far.
House mate twelve – Chris – #BBChris – Chris reminds me of Steve MacDonald from Coronation Street, and that isn’t a good thing. He thinks everything is funny. He’s an actor who likes to play dark roles, such as killer clowns. He could be funny, but could start wearing on people.
House mate thirteen – Ashleigh – #BBAshleigh – Ashleigh is eighteen years old and fresh out of school, and of course she is a model. On her VT she seemed quite sweet, and Winston had her eye on her as soon as she walked in.
House mate number fourteen – Marlon – #BBMarlon – Marlon thinks himself a ladies man and has an alter-ego. Moving on…
House mate number fifteen – Ash – #BBAsh – Ash has never worked a hard day in his life, things just seem to happen for him. He also has girls throwing themselves at him and his friends, because all of his friends are good looking. If he isn’t big headed, Ash could be an interesting and good house mate.
House mate number sixteen – Jale – #BBJale – Jale seems like a short-tempered house mate that could cause arguments and problems for the sake of causing arguments and problems. Within her VT, short videos of her showed her sat on a sofa, so she seems like a barrel of fun.
And on night number two, Power-Pauline granted Helen a pass to the final! It’s all about to begin in this years Big Brothers, and with good tasks, it could become one of the bests yet.
What did you think of the house mates? What twists would you like to see?
