After 15 years, Anne Robinson has announced she is leaving the BBC show Watchdog…
She will step down to present a new factual show, which begins filming in the Autumn.
It will follow the success of Britain’s Spending Secrets – a two part documentary on Britain’s spending secrets that Anne presented – which brought in 5.7 million viewers.
Talking about her decision to leave, Anne said:
It’s been an honour to be part of the most important consumer show in Britain.
BBC One controller, Charlotte Moore said:
Anne is a much-treasured part of the BBC1 family and I’m grateful for everything she has done on Watchdog for nearly 15 years. I’m looking forward to her returning to the channel with a new factual series next year.
Will you be sad to see Anne go, or are you excited for her new venture?
