It wouldn’t be Big Brother without some sort of controversy, and so it’s no surprise that last nights launch has already drawn in complaints…
UKIP member Winston McKenzie said in his VT that he could live with homosexuals in the house, but would have to have his back against a brick wall the whole time.
Winston, who is hoping to run for mayor of London, said: ‘I could cope with a homosexual in the house. I guess I’ll just have to stand with my back against a brick wall all the time.’
OfCom got over 150 complaints.
A spokesperson said:
We’ve received 165 complaints about Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5. We will assess these complaints before deciding whether to investigate or not.
