Yosemite, a wonder of the world and a natural beauty…
But The Hipster Bible haven’t travelled all that way just to see some pretty trees. Instead, we’ve come here to meet Gandalf, the travelling cat.
Gandalf is a cat that has a better life than most people. He’s seeing sites we can only dream of seeing, collecting stamps in his Pawsbook.
Gandalf shares snaps of his travels on his Instagram page. He’s been to places such as The Golden Gate Bridge.
And Gandalf kindly took some time out of his rich and cultured life to talk with us nobodies here at The Hipster Bible.
How was Yosemite?
Yosmite was spectacular! It was a winter wonder land. If you get the chance, go!
What inspired you to travel?
I have always been a little bit different. My humans noticed how bravely I embraced new sights and sounds. Once they gave me a taste of the leash life I knew that I wanted to put my paws where no fuzzy paws had been before. It is my destiny!
Who do you travel with?
Traditionally I travel with my mum and dad, but in the next few weeks mum will be heading to New Zealand to get our next adventure on the road so it will be just me and dad for a bit. I see manly camping in our future…
Where are you from?
I am from Seoul, South Korea.
Where have you been?
So far I have been to a few smaller city parks around Korea, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, and Texas! I would like to hit the east coast before I hop back across the Pacific.
When I am out and about I am often asked what type of dog I am. After the human realizes their mistake, they apologize with some neck scratches and pats. Humans also love to take pictures with me, which is always a nice ego booster.
Don’t you ever just wanna nap and be a normal cat?
I think I have the perfect cat life. I get to see the world, scratch trees, watch birds, and take naps on my own seat in the sunny section of the car afterwards. Purrfection.
Are you looking for love?
Looking for love? I have my eye on a couple lovely ladies. Unfortunately I lack a certain… something that most lady cats are looking for.. if you catch my drift. I blame mum.
Is the food different in different countries?
I have found that foods are similar between Korea and the USA. The only differences I have noticed are in variety. The US has every flavour and animal available for consumption where as Korea has the basic fish, chicken, and beef.
Over the next few months I will be going on smaller excursions with good ol’ pops! We aren’t sure exactly what we will be doing yet but I’m sure I will be adding a few more State Stamps to my Pawssport. By the end of the year I will be starting my next epic adventure in New Zealand! There may be a ring and something about saving Middle Earth but I don’t want to spoil it.
We could have talked to Gandalf all day, but of course he had to travel and see the sights.
Make sure you follow Gandalf’s Instagram account – Ganddygram – and see where he gets to next!
